Lung Cancer Screening
Early Detection is the Key to Prolonging and Saving Lives.
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is on a mission to reduce the number of lung cancer deaths in Indiana by offering low-dose CT screenings for individuals at risk for lung cancer. Quick, painless and non-invasive, a low-dose CT screening can help detect lung cancer before it’s visible on an X-ray, and before there are symptoms.
LOW-DOSE CT SCREENINGS ARE PAID IN FULL BY MEDICARE, MEDICAID AND MOST PRIVATE INSURANCE.
In order to qualify for this screening, you must meet all these conditions:
- be a current smoker or former smoker who quit within the last 15 years.
-
have a smoking history of at least 30 pack years.
(1 pack per day for 30 years | 2 packs per day for 15 years | 3 packs per day for 10 years, etc.) - have not had a CT thorax scan within the last 12 months.
- be between 55 and 77 years of age.
If you meet these conditions and are interested in a lung cancer screening, please schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider.
Some health plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance may charge co-pays if the screening facility is out of network. Check with your insurance provider.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE UNINSURED, ST. ELIZABETH HEALTHCARE OFFERS THE LOW-DOSE CT SCREENING FOR A REDUCED RATE OF $150.
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is designated by the American College of Radiology as a top-quality provider of safe, effective diagnostic imaging for individuals at high risk for lung cancer.
