Must have a valid Indiana license as a General Radiologic Technologist. ARRT registry required within 6 months of hire. Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or 3 years Radiologic Technology experience.
Performs a wide range of highly technical clinical examinations using sophisticated radiological equipment in support of the hospital and medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of in and out patients. Responsible for a wide variety of technical machine operations to ensure quality examinations of many different types, as well as efficient departmental operation. Adheres to the radiation protection policy to ensure safe limits of exposure to patients and employees. Maintains the examination rooms in a clean, professional manner in order to convey trust by the patient and expedite procedures. Projects a positive image of the Imaging Department in a professional manner to gain trust and respect of patients, families and/or visitors. Maintains and expresses a positive attitude when needed for special demands as directed by the department head.
